About Higher Ground

Higher Ground is a Christian Leadership Camp designed to build and equip high school students, ages 14-19, to be Christ-like disciples who will reproduce and multiply to the ends of the earth, until the end of time. Higher Ground training is designed to teach the campers what it means to be a disciple, make disciples, and how they are to be obedient to the commands and instructions given by Jesus.

A camper who desires to participate in the Higher Ground Christian Leadership Camp must meet the following criteria:

  • Be in an ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ

  • Possess a strong desire to grow in his or her faith

  • Be actively involved in roles of service or leadership within his or her church, school, ministry, and community

  • Agree to participate in all training activities (spiritual & physical)

  • Assume personal responsibility for learning and practice while at camp and at home

  • Submit to and follow authority

  • Have a Mentor/Accountability Partner involved in their life

Be prepared for a fun and exciting training experience. If you leave HG saying it was boring, it’s because you were boring when you came!

Higher Ground provides a great environment for learning, worship, and interaction in a camp setting for youth who are interested in developing leadership skills. In addition to the facilities at Higher Ground, HG campers will have supervised access to the facilities at the other KAA camps, upon availability.
